Tim walked into his first yoga class thinking he’d add a little stretching to his gym routine, but the practice soon changed his life in ways he never expected. He felt lighter, more peaceful, and more in touch with himself than he ever had before. Teaching yoga became his full-time career in 2000. He’s completed over 500 hours of teacher training with his primary teacher, Dharma Mittra, and he’s also taken teacher training programs with Bikram Choudhury, Baron Baptiste, Rusty Wells, and Janet Stone. During his time as a teacher, he’s taught at studios all over the country and appeared as a yoga model in several publications, including Yoga Journal.
Tim teaches a challenging vinyasa flow class, but always with the understanding that students should modify and rest as needed, and always with the awareness that yoga is much more than just a workout. His classes also include breath work, meditation, and other traditional yogic practices, as well as plenty of lightness and silliness.
