Mamas_mood_low_resHormonal shifts, major life changes, and sleep deprivation make pregnant and new mamas vulnerable to challenging emotions and states of mind. Learn gentle yoga, self-care techniques, and mindfulness-based psychology to support you in nurturing and strengthening yourself during this tender time. This workshop is open to those considering pregnancy, currently pregnant, or in the first months or years postpartum. No yoga experience necessary.

Suzannah Neufeld, MFT, RYT is a licensed psychotherapist, certified yoga therapist, pre and postnatal yoga teacher, and mama who has specialized in supporting women’s mental health for over a decade. Her therapy work is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches and mind-body practices. On the yoga mat, Suzannah believes deeply in encouraging each person to listen mindfully and compassionately to their own body’s wisdom and to discover the unique alignment and form that give them the most space for growth. Each pose becomes an opportunity to make peace with one’s body. Suzannah seeks to provide an inclusive, noncompetitive environment that is welcoming of all bodies. Suzannah is grateful for her studies of yoga therapy at the Niroga Institute with BK Bose and Antonia Fokken, yin and mindfulness with Sarah Powers, yoga nidra (Irest) with Richard Miller, and prenatal yoga with Jane Austin.
