In this course, you will learn how to integrate the wishes of loving-kindness into your body, heart and mind.

Loving-kindness, or maitri in Sanskrit, refers to cultivating a quality of friendliness and unconditional love towards ourselves. The practice integrates meditation, mantra and visualization techniques.

In this course you will explore the mantras:

  • May I be free from enmity, anxiety and affliction.
  • May I be happy.
  • May I be healthy and strong.
  • May I be safe.
  • May I live with ease.

Learn what these words mean, and deepen their significance in your life by creating your own meanings drawn from personal experience.

Additionally, you will:

* Create a sacred practice space in your home
* Use meditation as the visualization technique
* Journal
* Create artwork to be used as a visual reminder
* Gain community/connection with one another

Meditation and Dharma practices are ancient guidelines for living practices. Sharing our personal experiences enriches the value of these teachings as we learn from each other.

Instructor — Shannon Bronson

Shannon is yogini, artist and mother. Her intention is to these paths together to invent intelligent and compassionately creative platforms to bring positivity in the world. She works one heart at a time, starting with her own.

Shannon’s life blossomed when she fully embraced yoga. Yoga was the sanctuary in which healed her own traumas. Her practice gave her the courage to she leave the Urban Design world to dedicate her life to it’s study.

Shannon understands that to be a great teacher is to always be learning. She has a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Puget Sound, a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and an RYT500 from Triveni Yoga. Triveni is a vinyasa-based style of yoga that combines asana, meditation with a focus on the subtle body to profoundly transform the practitioner inside and out. She travels internationally with the Triveni team to teach teacher trainings and conduct art, yoga and meditation workshops.Shannon bows to the lotus at the feet of her teachers Jessica and Stéphane Dreyfus, Elise Lorimer, Betty Roi and Carolyn Cooper for sending their light into her life. www.shannonbronsonyoga.com
