Wednesday evenings this August, join Shannon Bronson in discovering the practice of meditation through key transformational verses of Master Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra. The Yoga Sutra is the foundational text of Raja Yoga about what happens to a mind as it becomes enlightened through Yoga.
This month-long immersion will touch upon the foundational concepts of Yoga Philosophy on the self and the nature of reality as presented in the Buddhist reading of the Yoga Sutra. Meditation a critical complimentary practice that supports the clarity and focus of mind required to contemplate these pithy and powerful sutras and put them into practice in your life. You will learn stillness meditation, energy visualization and compassion meditation.
You will also learn practical steps to a successful meditation practice. Shannon will discuss how to sit with relaxed attention, how to set up your space, and a schedule for success.
It is requested that you will begin a month long, daily meditation practice during this time, and journaling homework will be required.

Instructor — Shannon Bronson
Shannon is yogini, artist and mother. Her intention is to these paths together to invent intelligent and compassionately creative platforms to bring positivity in the world. She works one heart at a time, starting with her own.
Shannon’s life blossomed when she fully embraced yoga. Yoga was the sanctuary in which healed her own traumas. Her practice gave her the courage to leave the Urban Design world to dedicate her life to its study.
Shannon understands that to be a great teacher is to always be learning. She has a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Puget Sound, a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and an RYT500 from Triveni Yoga. Triveni is a vinyasa-based style of yoga that combines asana, meditation with a focus on the subtle body to profoundly transform the practitioner inside and out. She travels internationally with the Triveni team to teach teacher trainings and conduct art, yoga and meditation workshops.
