Get your mind and body primed for 2020! In this workshop, you will relax in luxurious and supported yoga poses while sound healer, Jules Sears, will play traditional healing bowls and tuning forks. Jules will lead us in creating chakra recharging sounds that have the ability to enhance the endocrine system, soothe the nervous system, and stimulate the body’s natural ability to relax and heal. Jules will use specifically-designed tuning forks on acupressure points to heal your body through vibration (acutonics).

Instructor — Jules Sears

Jules Sears fell in love with sound healing immediately upon discovering it in 2009. She completed the year-long Sound, Voice, Music and Healing Certification program at California Institute of Integral Studies in 2010 and is close to completing the 500 hour Acutonics Certification, which incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine through the vibrations of specifically-designed tuning forks on acupuncture points.

Over the years, Jules has studied Thai massage in Chiang Mai, aquatic massage (often called Watsu), Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage), Chi Gong, hypnotherapy, and Somatic Yoga Therapy.

Instructor — Elise Collins

As a yogini and teacher, Elise Collins loves to guide students to delve beneath the surface of their daily lives to find deeper meaning and inspiration. In her classes the breath, one’s thoughts and yoga poses are doorways to quieting the mind and connecting to beauty, authenticity and grace within. Elise has studied with many master teachers including Judith Lasater and Ramanand Patel. She is a certified Relax and Renew trainer and instructed participants in a 2 year NIH funded study on the effects of Restorative Yoga for Metabolic Syndrome. Her other practice is writing. She is the author of Chakra Tonics, Essential Elixirs for Mind, Body and Spirit and An A-Z Guide to Healing Foods, A Shoppers Companion.
