Annie Kobliska-Becker

Shannon Dawn Snapp is a psychology professor, yoga and meditation instructor, and a reiki master teacher. She uses these mediums to heal, teach, and awaken others. Since 2007, she has taught mindfulness to youth and adults across the U.S. and in Asia. Her mindfulness practice led her to yoga, and in the summer of 2016, she completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification in Hatha Yoga at the Ayur-Yoga Eco Ashram in Karnataka, India. She has taught yoga to diverse communities, including foster youth, college students, and elders. Shannon is also a reiki master teacher and practitioner. She has offered reiki to clients in private sessions, healing circles, yoga classes, and retreats, and she teaches reiki level 1 and 2. These healing modalities are enriched by Shannon’s academic work. She has a Ph.D. in Psychology and is an assistant professor at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) where she teaches Social Psychology & Social Justice and “How to Love” on the art and science of love and intimacy. In her research, she explores sociocultural supports for underrepresented youth. She lives in San Francisco and works in the various Bays.
