Melissa Forde (RYT, Reiki Master Teacher, Registered Nurse) was initially drawn to yoga to find relief from severe chronic pain and combat the negative effects of a very draining and stressful job. What she found was so much more than a simple remedy for pain and stress. She experienced such drastic physical, emotional and spiritual healing as a result of her yoga practice that it launched her on a never-ending journey of self-discovery and development that has transformed her health and life.

After deciding to take responsibility for how she experiences the world, Melissa fell absolutely forever in love with the practice of yoga and dedicated self-discovery and she is passionate about inspiring this love in others.  She is playful, light-hearted and down to earth and focuses on practical ways to integrate yoga into real life.

Melissa has been teaching yoga since 2012 and is also a Reiki Master Teacher and Registered Nurse, specializing in pediatric and adult hospice home care.  She focuses on integrating holistic practices into high-quality spirit-centered care and also leads yoga, meditation, and Reiki programs to help healthcare providers maintain their own wellbeing while caring for others.

She is inspired daily by her favorite yoga teacher, her fun-loving-goofball dog, Peso, who continually teaches her what unconditional love and truly joyful living is all about.
