We invite you to make time and space for stillness. The soothing modalities of this Restorative Yoga and Reiki with Hot Stones Workshop will effectively melt away tension and stress, enhance your immune function and will leave you feeling refreshed, revitalized and rebalanced in body, mind and spirit. To relieve the body of tensions and quiet the mind is to cultivate your inner wisdom and live gracefully in the present. In this extended afternoon workshop, your body will be fully supported with multiple yoga props in extended Restorative Yoga poses, led by Bernal Yoga Teacher, emiko oye. The soothing balm of heated massage stones placed on the body will be provided to facilitate even further release and ease while in the poses. As your stress begins to melt alway, Reiki Master Ewa Litauer and her team will provide the vibrational and energetic healing gift of Reiki to connect you to your life force, allowing your energy to flow freely and the light of your heart to shine brightly. Because everything is better when you are rested. All are welcome.
What should I wear to class?
You’ll want to wear warm, comfortable clothing that allows you to lay on the floor and does not constrict your movement. The room will not be heated. Think sweatshirts/hoodies, sweatpants, socks, long sleeved shirt.
Can I eat lunch before class?
Ideally you want to have an empty stomach for Restorative Yoga, so make sure you have last eaten 2 hours before class starts.
What should I bring?
Bring your yoga mat and your own eye pillow if you have one. If possible, bring one or two blankets from home – one to cover your yoga mat with for warmth and softness under your body, and one to cover yourself with to keep in your body heat.
Instructor — Ewa Litauer, M.A.
Ewa Litauer has been practicing Hypnotherapy since 2001 and Reiki since 2003. She has a private practice in San Francisco, providing and teaching Hypnotherapy and Reiki to a wide variety of people; she also offers her services to various medical and alternative health clinics in the Bay Area. Ewa studied Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater in 2010, and in 2011 she assisted with a study with the University of California investigating the benefits of stretching and Restorative Yoga for the Metabolic Syndrome. She is very passionate about combining healing and spiritual practices to assist everyone in bringing out their best selves and she brings all her enthusiasm to guiding people toward greater well being.

Instructor — emiko oye
emiko oye is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher in Forrest Yoga (RYT-200), Certified Trainer for Relax and Renew® Level 2 Restorative Yoga, and Certified Teacher in Monnier Method Hatha Yoga (200-hr), based in San Francisco where she first discovered yoga in 1997 after moving to California from Cleveland, Ohio. Actively teaching since 2012, yoga has become the key to her sanity, helping to maintain balance and de-stress from her other life as self-employed artist/business owner of jewelry design company, emiko-o. Through a dedicated yoga practice she has reshaped her posture to live in the body she’s always wanted (including optimal gut health), realized that deep breathing and daily Savasana are key to self-nourishment, and that living your yoga is the way to continue to evolve as a compassionate human.
She has trained extensively under Ana Forrest, having completed the Foundation and Advanced Teacher Trainings, Mentorship Program, and has assisted former Forrest Guardian Colleen Millen. Currently she’s been training under Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga and Experiential Anatomy. You can find her on staff at Innerstellar Yoga & Pilates in Berkeley, and at Bernal Yoga in San Francisco, CA. emiko is also trained in Hatha yoga in the Bishnu Ghosh tradition under Brian Monnier at California Yoga Company (where she was on teaching staff from 2012-2016) and in Bikram yoga under Mary Jarvis at Global Yoga.
emiko teaches public and private sessions of Restorative Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Candlelight, and Flow & Restore sessions (which interweave Forrest, Vinyasa and Hatha styles with Restorative yoga).
