Melissa believes that yoga should be a cleansing, relaxing way to free yourself of life’s troubles. She began practicing in 2003 when she was recruited to participate in one of the first-ever Western research studies to compare the health benefits of vinyasa yoga to those of extreme sports. She continued practicing for the emotional and personal benefits of yoga.
Melissa is certified in both Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga, and integrates elements of massage and bodywork into her Restorative sessions. Why? Because she believes it’s just as it is important to sweat, it is important to relax and let it all go.
